    An excellent and relatable read!

This book depicts everything that I have gone through in 4 years of my engineering. I loved the narration of the author where he runs through smalls incidents of his engineering life which influenced him and I bet every engineering student who has/had joined engineering without any idea or interest has gone through the same at some point in time or the other. Also, it brings out the right kind of emotions of an engineering student and reflects his/her mindset beautifully with respect to what ...

    Saviour for school-goers now.

Yes this book does focus on the myths regarding success in the field of engineering but the simple, convincing and friendly tone of the book will make students and more importantly, their parents give a second thought before they force their kids into any field only assuming it'll be good for career.

I like how the author bashes the hype regarding Engineering instead of bashing Engineering on a whole. This is not a story of bright successes, but of those failures of other people that you can...

Not just for Students, but for everyone without a future plan...

As an Engineering student I can relate myself to each and every sentence in this book. Looking back, I have written more exams than I'm suppose to write, but here I'm doing something totally irrelevant to all those things I have written.

This book portrays the struggle and success of an engineering student, an interesting journey from 1st semester to the last. You'll be able to understand the ups and downs of studying this course. 4 years of Engineering life, is it worth it?

    You can take ...

It's a masterpiece! Highly Recommended for everyone.

Generally, I don’t like to read books/novels, but the title of this book was so fascinating that it made me to buy this book and attracted me to read it.

Review - The book is partitioned into fifteen mind changing and thought provoking chapters, each scrutinizing several aspects of the traditional education system and the shortcomings of the technical education in India. It depicts the struggles and success of an engineering student by portraying an interesting journey of an engineering stud...

    Worth my time!

The book by the given title, is indeed true. The author has made sure to highlight all the facts that's been taking place in colleges and his examples are concrete!

I would recommend this book to all my juniors who are having a tough time leading their life in decision making and being collared by Engineering as their career.

And for the people who have already joined an Engineering college? You can read this book as well, it tells you how to survive until you graduate.

    A Much Needed Eye Opener

Wasted In Engineering is a book -
For students who think giving up their dreams for their parent’s happiness is sacrifice – No. That’s murdering passion. (Okay I can't judge everyone, but it so in most cases.)
For parents who think their kids need to do what you decide for them coz you know best – No. That’s forced slavery.
And they know the best for themselves.

    Respected Prabhu Swaminathan,

I am not an engineering student. But I’ve got friends who are. And some of them can’t seem to hate...

    Good read

Not only for student who want to study Engineering but for every student who is deciding which course they want to study, should read this book. Very insightful and informative.

    Some sentence from this book:

    - It is better to study with clarity at the age of 28 than with confusions at the age of 21.

    - Ironically today many have converted both religion and education into a profitable and heartless business activity.

    - Is the happiness of students who are citizens of this country less valua...

    Matches my science college experience

The author had me at "Engineering padicha nalla future". Though I am a Bsc Computer Science student I could connect with this book so much, as all my friends around me have gone through exactly what the author has gone through in his engineering life. I experienced the same struggle in a science college. It is only after i read this book that i realised there are people who have gone through the same things as i have and this books has illuminated the thoughts of the entire generation.

    Student of India should read

When i started to read this book, i felt the book written for my self and for my friends. Each part of the book tells about the current status of Indian education. India is the only country where parents say do engineering first and then do whatever you want.
