Veena Apte has been nurturing the art of creating art out of wax for the last fifteen years. She has held nine exhibitions in Thane city and had a program aired on television. She got formal training in candle making from Jilha Udyog Kendra. She holds many workshops and teaches at various institutions. Her passion for wax art stems from her aunt, who used to make various wax items by melting wax candles and using molds made of jowar flour or clay.
