The Waywards

This is the story of two young teen runaways who leave their respective homes due to intolerable abuse during the decade of the fifties. Although they are from entirely different areas, fate has them meet at an unusual venue. There, they are befriended by a compelling and mysterious stranger who becomes a mentor of sorts for the two boys. Their journey begins and is fraught with danger and harrowing surprises. Soon the lads become fugitives -- through no fault of their own -- and the stranger suddenly disappears. They are on their own, not knowing who to trust or which turn to take. Come then, and join these two young vagabonds as they risk everything while heading toward the heartland in search of acceptance and love.
