Nice And Works Great as Described
Nice product, using this know for few months and don't have any problem at all.
meets all the needs i want from this Drive.
i am a Gamer, Before using the WD Green 1TB & i can tell this drive makes night and day difference in loading speed of the game.
Pros :
1) Great Speed for a Hard Disk.
2) Nice Capacity.
3) Using for Few Months Never got a Problem. (In Sort, Very Stable)
4) Boost in boot up time of windows 7 & 8.
5) Loads Games Much Faster.

A mixed Bag of Feelings...
If you google around this HDD is pretty much recomended, and tops the charts but since this comes to your house and travelling via courier you might end up getting a defective batch HDD or just plain old luck.
These days all HDD on the market are sub standard comparing to the old days....
My scenario- 1st Hdd received was full of bad sectors and defect from the day 1, had that refunded I ordered again after 2 days when it came back.
Got a new HDD of the october batch and it works out well....

Good drive good warranty.
I originally wanted the Black RE Drive for our office servers. But found them to be priced very high, lower warranty and also NOT AVAILABLE (why?) on this site. Only on the other "not-so-reliable sites"... where I would NOT buy from.
So went for this model. Nice - good performance - but still, is a DeskTop Drive. I wanted the server ones. Bought 2 pieces and they're fine.

Good but not awesome
i thought it will be Much faster then Seagate Barrucuda but its not too much fast Results are almost same just 5% max difference and Barracuda are much cheaper then WD Black , but its Best among all HDD's

good HDD but low transfer rate
i bought this one for a high transfer rate for editing and rendering stuff since they have specified that extra feature in this one. but its not upto the mark. for usual use its best though it has fast transfer for usual taks n reliable brand. double warranty period as compared to seagate.

Nice risk less upgrade
A good product from the trusty WD. Very fast and responsive. Only item i wish they could add is a sata 6Gbps cable and few screws along with the product. This would be a nice gesture for a person receiving the same.

Hard disk = DOA
Flipkart service and packaging = 5/5.
Hard disk was dead on arrival. These have a failure rate of around 20%, so just bad luck.
I have a SATA 2, 3 gbps motherboard, the hard disk was detected with no problems at all. During system image restore, some sectors could not be written too. WD Diagnostic Extended test failed. Now waiting for WD RMA process to start.
The model number for the hard disk I got is - WD1002FAEX-00Y9A0. These have no jumper settings for SATA 3.0 Gbps.

Unreliable...
Contrary to popular usage, I used this drive as a 2nd storage device. Primary is Seagate 500GB/16MB buffer running Windows 7 64bit. Initially I thought of making this WD drive as Primary 'coz of all the power, speed etc but after reading exhaustive list of reviews world around, I realized that the Disk is not so reliable after all (many had to go for replacement). Good drive, very bad packaging.
Received the drive packed like a book, one sheet of thin bubble wrap and card board around, shipped all the way from mumbai to bangalore. Luckily the drive survived. I am sure every time that's not the case. Coming to the drives performance its very good. Another good thing is the 5 years of warranty this drive comes with.
