Don't buy this
Hard disc until you use it for a long time you can not say its good or bad.....
It was working OK at the beginning..... giving around 35 MBPS at the beginning...
But when I have more than 700GB of data and I need it to work fast sometimes it gives me only 10-15 MBPS.
But my old Segate 160GB HHD when full as well it gives at least 30MBPS.........
So when it comes to HHD go for Segate.

for every WD Green product
i always got them from Nehru Place,(more than 11 pisc already)
after all my backup on them...they die!!,,again and again..
it always happen to my office files...
to WD replacement center i always give them away with
most of my important files including my Bank information,
BECAUSE they said WD is goooddddd!!
but this time..
this yrs i got new Seagate 2 TB extranal HDDfrom flipkart...
and now i will never go back to them
(but i haven't try WD Black Yet)
but something is better than nothing...

Fast! Smooth! Silent!
Buyers, if you are looking for a 1TB fast HDD.. look nowhere else.. this is the one you should be going for and it will serve you well for years to come... You just need to ensure that your SMPS is powerful enough to supply all the needed juices to this beast and that your earthing is not fault.
In short... go for it... I trust WD for it's excellent quality of products.

Cool product from Western Digital
Just another cool product from Western Digital. Working Fine. Though shipment took a bit long time than we have expected.
Probably the best thing is that it's not made in China, it's made in Thailand.
But, the packaging from Western Digital is poor, as it's OEM pack. Performs good, a super silent product. But should have a 5 years warranty, as we get in Black edition.
So, considering its performance, packaging and warranty side by side, I'm giving it a 4 star rating.

Good product!
Initially I was hesitating while choosing this brand of hard disk because I'd never used this brand hard disk before. The hard disk must be reliable otherwise you may lose your all data but after reading all reviews I just bought it from flipkart. The delivery was smoother as usual and the product is quite good in performance and reliable too. Nice product from WD.

Poor performance
Should go for seagatte instead of this. I had to replace the hard drive for bad sectors problem after 2 months of usage. Their service is worst. they took some 15 days to send a new hard drive which doesn't even work(couldn't detect-checked on the other comps also). Again got the hard drive but the performance which also gets struck every now and then because of bad sectors.. First I faulted my power system unit because I got the same problem repeatedly. i just received the hard drive and feel relaxed but am not at all satisfied with the packing of the product. the disc is so fragile and needs very sound packing but i find it playing football in the packing case. also the air cover on the hard disc was open and i am very UN-happy about it. this kind of product delivery is really bad for the consumers as they might have to under go another couple of days for the replacement of the device.

Works without problem
I didnt buy this from flipkart. I bought from local store and this is working fine. My earlier 2 new see-gate 2TB from flipkart failed on arrival itself. So switched to WD now. WD seems to be more reliable now a days.

Perfect 1TB Hard Disk
After doing quite a bit of search for a cheap yet performing 1TB HDD, finally got my hands on this.
Was confused between Seagate and WD Green Caviar, but former's tranfer rates are way lesser than later and fixed 5900rpm.
I was copying 162GB of files to the HDD for the first time, and i was getting 82-100 MB/s write speeds which i think is awesome.
so 5/5 for the product... \m/
