GOOD DRIVE
I placed the order for this drive on 11 June 2012 @ Rs 6696/-and received the HDD on 12th June 2012.FLIPKART ROCKS!!!. NONE OF THE VENDORS AT SP ROAD IN BANGALORE WERE READY TO SELL AT THAT RATE!!. The primary reason why i purchased this drive was because of the 2 TB size and the minor (Rs1300) price difference between 1TB and 2 TB Drives.

Be sure of which WD drive you buy...
Be sure of which drive you buy as there is a huge difference between this drive WD20EZRX, the WD20EARS and the other one WD20EURS.
The WD20EZRX seems to be the best of the lot, 64mb of cache is good and it is a fast drive for day to day work (even though its green and not a 7200rpm). Power usage is also good.
The WD20EURS are effectively the standard WD20EARS drives with TLER set to 0 - ie the controller will give up trying to correct an error instantly, unlike a normal drive that will keep...

Good Quite drives but ensure that they fit your needs
These are good Basic Drives run quite and cool.
But they are not blazing fast, these are intended to be secondary Drives for storage.
Would not recommend them to be used with as primary boot drive.
Also note that for a few hundred more you can get the Seagate ones that can go upto 7200 RPM whereas these only go upto 5400 rpm.
I bought them to be put into a RAIDZ ZFS array, and hence needed them to be quite and cool more than being fast as there would be nearly 5 HDD stacked near each other....

Could be better
The best cost effective storage solution is not worth being your primary hard drive. Its super silent, super cool while working but data transfer rates are just hovering near 40MB/s. With 64MB cache and WD name, I expected better speed. But, theres nothing to beat the value for money this product offers. Recommended, but do not expect the performance of caviar black series from this. Awesome value for money, super quiet operation and low power consumption.

i bought it , unfortunately the two of them was faulty. But the third worked great for me. So after little disappointment for the first two , i am glad to see that the third one worked.
I would highly recommend to buy this HDD, who is reading this view.
Because Flipkart provided me good customer support even after the two faulty HDD.

Not Worth The Price!! Under Performer.
I bought this from Flipkart almost a year ago and i thought i'd drop in to review this product after using it as my primary drive.
If you are a gamer like me and expect this to perform faster than the other variants or other Seagate HDD's then you will be really disappointed, The 'Green' tag is an absolute nuisance, I had more than a few instances where the computer restarted on its own when i left it idle for more than a 15 mins. Good product, Fast delivery

I am using this as a secondary hard disk for my system with DG965RY motherboard.
In case you are not aware, Yes, hard disk size supported does not depend on motherboard, it depends on the OS. I am with Win 7 64bit. I just connected it and it got detected and now using it as a secondary hard drive, more like a backup for important data.

A Silent HDD..
First of all thanks to Flipkart for delivering the product in tym.. Next about the HDD, itsssss just awesome... Just like a beast with massive 1863GB (usable memory) in it. This HDD is just awesome, if anyone here is thinking of buying a good hdd with massive space and very good performance.. I wold recommend to go for this one for sure..

Great product
I ordered this product last week after a fuming years of bad experience with Seagate HDD. From last 5 years using extrenal 1TB HDD of WD without any flaws... Decided to switch over to WD from Seagate after a pretty long R&D from the market. All feedback and friend circle dealing with Seagates having much issues rather those using WD. I am moving completely to WD as of now on faith of the past external HDD of 1TB.

Good HDD
Excellent delivery by flipkart. Ordered reached in 5 days as promised. Was also able to keep track of my delivery online and they messaged me too (abt delivery time). Full marks here.
Now about the HDD. Well I don't know much about the technical aspects, but 64 MB cache is good. It is I guess, 5400 rpm drive. Gives me 30-40 Mbps data transfer rate. Fully satisfied and happy customer.
