WD Elements SE is a small sized compact USB 3.0 Hard Disk.The Transfer Speeds are very good.

Pls Note that To Get Actual Transfer Speeds Of USB 3.0 You Have To Format The Drive in NTFS format.The Drive Is Previously Formatted so no Worries.

The Transfer speed also depends on the file you transfer and your system drivers.If You Transfer A Video File It Will Be Transferred Quickly rather than some Software's or Music Files
So if you transfer a 22 GB file The Speeds Will reduce as you go on. Initially It Provides Full speed up to 70 Mbps later it keeps on reducing. The Read Speeds Are Constantly above 60 Mbps.

There is no included software as we encounter in WD My Passport but i feel the software is useless as it consumes your system resources and causes unnecessary system backup.

To avail warranty as mentioned for 3 years in Asian Countries You will have to register your product with serial Number at WD Website thereby creating your account. In case The Drive Fails To Perform The WD Representative Will Come At Your Place And Collect The Hard Disk and Provide You With a Replacement Withing Shorter Time.

I looked into all major hard disk drives manufacturer's available option, be it Seagette, Adata, Toshiba and what not. And spent a month researching on 1 TB Portable Segment. The sudden increase in price from approximately Rs. 4500 to around Rs. 6500 in a period of 6 months, is a bit disappointing but the beauty of this device, the quietness of the drive, the small size and the fact that is WD won't disappoint you AT ALL.

For anyone looking to buy a portable 1 TB Hard disk, I will recommend this one and it deserves the recco.

Well it did take a day more than I expected. But that's the benchmark Flipkart.com beg you to set.

Nothing too much about the product it's running really well. It transfer speeds are 17 MB/sec. This was realtime calculation done by me. Subsequently 1 GB takes around a minute. The product is a decent buy, the picture does not do justice to the size of the HDD. It can easily fit in the pocket and frankly I do not see a difference in this and the slightly expensive SE version.

No hangs and no slip-up's performance wise, its been reliable so far.

The packaging from flipkart let me down bigtime. For a product of such sensitivity, importance and price I was shocked as to how sloppyly it was packed and when I received it my friends asked me weather I had purchased a pen-drive.

Those who know about choosing a good hardware products...they don't need suggestion. But those who are blind believers ,for them I would say ... its not that SEAGATE is what u have to choose if it comes to HARD DISKs. There are some very reliable and satisfactory product companies out there one of them is WESTERN DIGITAL(WD).I have been using "WD" as my internal hard disk for my PC from last 6 years. Now I bought the External one and i believe and hope its for lifetime.
