Bought this during offer time so got it for less. It's fast and perfect in size. Look is also super-cool. When it comes to speed, i have tested it with both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0. Of Course one won't get 5Gb/sec, it is just for saying, but i did get around 1Gb/sec. Nice product at this range. Lil expensive for a 500GB HDD, but still worth.

I booked this hard disk on 1 September in the night and to my surprise the hard disk was delivered to my home by 3 September in the morning. Really super speed. Regarding the hard disk, this is the most wonderful hard disk I have ever seen. The sleek design and the compactness plus the stylish looks and the reliability of WD has been good. So overall i's pretty satisfied with the purchase.

This is not a review.. I just wanted to clarify why this hard disk shows 465GB instead of 500GB. When referring to drive's capacity:
1GB = 1 billion Bytes
1TB = 1 trillion Bytes
Our Computer System uses a different standard of measurement..
1KB = 1024B instead of 1000B
Similarly
1MB = 1024KB = 1048000B
1GB = 1024MB = 1073741824B
But according to hard drive standards 1GB = 1000000000B
Hence the actual size gets reduced by a factor of 1.0737
Therefore size shown = 500 divided by 1.0737 = 465 GB...

the HDD is working as it should.... I only have one problem that it is mot giving the transfer speed USB 3.0 gives.. I have 2 USB 3.0 ports but I am not getting any extra speed... If any one has a solution for this problem then please instruct me how to tackle it...

Bought this for my 'technologically-challenged' sister! If she has no complaints about it, that means it's doing its job flawlessly. Looks kind of fancy. Good product altogether.

Product is good but I tool passport just for automatic backup but its not executing successfully .. this is only a disappointing factor otherwise its same as element..

Flipkart service is good. I received the product in two days. But the hard disk is not upto the mark. It has very slow transfer speed.. Overall a good product if you are not concerned about the transfer speed..
