Windows 8 + this hard disk == My laptop on steriods :-)
After my Dell Inspiron laptop hard disk died of a bad sectors heart attack , the online search got me totally confused between the Seagate Momentus and this model , the one which died in the lappy being of this make...
After a lot of confusion , decided to go for this 500 GB WD Scorpio Blue as many fingers of opinion were pointed in its direction...
After the suberb delivery , bubble wrapped and all , came a session of self-engineered installation, and then loaded Windows 8 on this drive....
And ZAPPP !!! The boot times have become ridiculous , from boot to desktop , it takes around 4-10 seconds each time , way less than even my desktops windows 8 performance .
Even as the data quantity grows , i am yet to see a performance hit with general excellent performance across the board for most tasks. I simply didnt run any Synthetic Benchmarks because when satisfaction mattered , numbers no more did :-D
Overall a great product and from my experience i can say you can safely go for it and get a large amount of quality assurance in return :-)
Ohh and yes, now the product shipped are all the lower power consuming LPVT model...

waiting for LPVT model
BPVT is good but LPVT is better.
LPVT - Lower power consumption.
Faster access time.
More shock proof and durable.
Single platter
Less noise.
Flipkart please let us know when this will be available.

Nice and Light
I was a seagate user but after trying WD Blue for a week I find it to be a decent performer.This lighter drive is at par with its Seagate counterpart ( without its slightly higher drive noise ).....Overall , it has been giving me hiccup free performance and would have loved it if the cost was nearer to Seagate.

Good Product
Till date had a good experience. No problem with the product. I had to replace my old hitachi harddisk for my Compaq CQ42 laptop.
Its working awesome now, much better performance from the prevoius. The delivery time was a bit more than expected but was satisfied with the service of flipkart.

Excellent Hard drive much better than seagate
Completely satisfied, received the LPVT model which is 7 mm height , but don't worry it is compatible with 10 mm slot for sure as my previous HDD was WD BPVT model and it was 10 mm in height. Now my new LPVT fits in it without any problem
