  • Description

On a seventeen-hour-long flight, a chance upgrade to business class lands journalist Risha Kohli next to handsome real estate hotshot Arjun Khanna. What's more? Risha has been moonlighting as a photographer and her next assignment is Arjun's sister's wedding: the most anticipated social event of the year!

But Arjun doesn't trust journalists and suspects this smart, sexy and incredibly spunky girl of using their mutual attraction as a ploy to invade his privacy for a newspaper scoop. And Risha, unaware of Arjun's personal demons, is worried that this dishy tycoon's unnerving behaviour will jeopardize her biggest photography gig so far.

What follows is a rollercoaster of snarky quips, sizzling chemistry and simmering drama amidst a Big Fat Punjabi Wedding.

Absolutely recommend for the summer !

    This book in un-put-down-able!

From the well defined characters to the modern writing style, the book has you gripped till the end. The use of recent Bollywood dialogues, the recognisable family characters that we all learn to live with and the SMS lingo (not the cul8 types) made me think "i have been there" at so many points in the book and yet the book took me on a journey that I remember even after several weeks of reading the book.
I am sure that this will turn into a movie very soon - ...

This Romantic Comedy will destress you!

Sakshama brings you exactly the same through her fiction “The Wedding Photographer”. With plentiful of wit spread throughout the book, this book will refuse to leave your hand until you hit the last page. And, when you read, you cannot avoid your brain painting pictures of Risha, Arjun, Nitisha, Rohan, Rishabh and Nani in a Bollywood movie. How beautifully the words we read in this fiction gets converted to scenes? That’s the power of Sakshama’s writing.

The book portrays how ego plays a ver...

    Funny, romantic and easy read

Loved reading this cute story about Risha, the wedding photographer and Arjun, the real-estate CEO. Their chance encounter, the events leading upto a Punjabi wedding where the couple get to know their love for each other, the setbacks they face and how they deal with them form the crux of this simple and romantic love story.

    A big-fat-Punjabi- wedding Romance!

The book reads like a straight-on Bollywood movie. As it says on the blurb, it is a rom-com with the right amount of wit woven into a lot of chocolate coated mush. It starts off with the usual girl-meets-boy accidently and sparks fly off. They part ways only to meet-up again. She (Risha aka Ms. Kohli) is indirectly working for him (Arjun urf Mr. Khanna, with looks like Fawad Khan... foooh!!) as she is a candid photographer at his sister’s wedding. This could have made a good plot as all girls...

Great book for a light read!

Indian Chick Lit is quite different from it’s foreign counterparts. Though the youth of this country is slowly coming to terms with the way things work in the West, we still have over protective parents, nosy neighbors and an overall overbearing society keeping a keen eye on the way we decide to live our lives.

So then – when a chick lit arrives in your hands which is truly and unapologetically desi – you’re relieved. You’ve found the friend who gets you and doesn’t shy away from being comfo...

    Good Debut; Great Book

First of all, being a through crime and thriller buff, i do “not” enjoy chicklit books, at all. But the surprise is that this breezy, wonderful read by Sakshama Puri Dhariwal may have just converted me. I am astonished to say this, but its true. I got this book as part of the “Flipkart Blogger Review Program.”

I finished this book in just two sittings, as it has a complete hold over the reader. It is the story of a journalist-cum-photographer Risha and her billionaire beau Arjun Khanna. They...

    A good read

A funny, fast paced and witty chiclit set around a journalist who shadows as a wedding photographer and a businessman who is very sensitive about his own privacy. They meet accidentally on a flight when our female leads seat gets upgraded and she finds herself next to the handsome hotshot.

A simple, neat and straightforward rom-com

The Wedding Photographer is a fine debut from the author Sakshsama Puri Dhariwal. It's an out and out rom-com. Its filled with a lot of fun and the narration is straightforward. The writing style is simple and easy to follow. The story is actually believable and you can relate to it. It's just like a Bollywood movie and you can finish it with the same time you need to catch a movie. And, the second part of the book takes us through the ceremonies of a Big Fat Punjabi Wedding.

This book is unputdownable!! This is one of the few books I preferred reading at a stretch! The choice of words and the storyline are gripping! The author makes it easy for the reader to connect to the story and to the characters at a personal level! I would highly recommend it as a summer read! Amazing read even for a non-reader!
