Welcome, Madam!

Perhaps only an unmarried person could have had the time for a certificate, diploma, degree, or license in technology, banking, medicine, clergy, and education, and a life devoted to serving others in Ghana, Africa. Author E. Charlese Spencer has had experience in all of these.

In "Welcome, Madam ," the first in a series of three books, Spencer tells the inspiring story of her life as a Christian missionary nurse in Africa where she served for over twenty years, setting up health clinics throughout primitive villages. Her eagerness to help others brought with it many rewards as well as hardships, including a severe beating she received while helping to set imprisoned young girls free. These rescues made it possible for young men, women, and their parents to control the choice of their mate, religion, and profession, and made asylum in the USA for such practices generally unnecessary.
