When a disillusioned business manager and family man, Wes Kingsley, visits Sea World he is mesmerized. The ability of the trainers to have the biggest predators of the sea, the killer whales do acrobatic tricks, amazes him. Through Whale Done: The Power Of Positive Relationships, Blanchard says that the key to increasing productivity in life lies in building trust, accentuating the positive, and redirecting the negative when mistakes occur. It highlights the difference between saying Whale Done, when finding people doing things right, and Gotcha, while catching people doing things wrong. The author has shown similarity between a five ton killer whale and people around an individual. In simple, easy to master techniques, he has compared the training of whales to that of human beings so that they can improve in relationships and other endeavours.
American author Kenneth Hartley Blanchard was born in May 1939.
