The Wisden Cricketers' Almanack was first published in 1864 and has appeared every year since. The first edition cost one shilling and ran to 112 pages. This 144th edition contains an impressive 1664 pages (including 16 colour plates) and, as usual, is bursting with all sorts of cricketing facts, figures, stats and compelling features. It is in fact the most famous sports book in the world.
