The book’s biggest advantage is the honesty with which Gauri writes. There is no pretension or any amount of confusion. The story is as clear and written with ease and simplicity. Gauri knows her audience and almost writes to charm them – which she does to a very large extent. “Wise enough to be Foolish” takes stock of life – its ups and downs and the journeys we undertake to becoming the person that we are and want to be.

Wise Enough to Be Foolish is a book which traces the journey of an Indian girl’s life. Despite all the challenges and hurdles that come her way, she eventually blossoms into a confident young woman.

Summary of the Book

Wise enough of be Foolish is the journey of girl from being an insecure clumsy child to being a confident independent woman. The story is set in India, and very beautifully portrays the various hurdles and difficulties an average Indian girl goes through to become independent and live life on her terms. The author writes about the trials, the mistakes she makes, the choices that go horribly wrong for her, but despite all this she eventually emerges out victorious.
