I Wish I Could Fly: The Lonely Caterpillar

This book was inspired after hearing a young child say they did not feel very "special." It made me stop and think that there may be other children who feel the same way. I wanted to find a way to let them know that everyone is special in God's eyes. Theo the turtle was picked as the character because turtles are very slow and I wanted to point out that even those of us who are called "slow" or made to feel inferior are still very "special." The illustrations were done by a "very special" nine year old named Madison.
