Women In India Towards Gender Equality

In Indian Society the status of woemn has changed from time to time. In ancient India, woemn enjoyed equal status with man in all fields of life, she received the same education like man. During the medieval period, the status of women went down considerebly. The position of women in modern Indian has changed considerably. This book analyses the issues of women`s freedoms and gender equality in the Indian society.
About Author :
Dr RC Mishra completed his BSc and MSc (Botany) in first division from the University of Allahabad, and was placed on the merit list. He researched on Environmental Science, and received the UGC fellowship for it. He completed his PhD on ecological observation on Degraded Land Mining and Sand Stone Quarrying-Its Effects on Environment, at the University of Allahabad in 1992.
