Among chapters that centre around occurrences, personal characteristics and general conversation, this section provides tips on building the reader’s vocabulary even further and gauging progress. About Norman Lewis
Norman Lewis was a prolific American author, grammarian, lexicographer and etymologist. He was an eminent authority on the English language and developed a number of books to develop skills in that field. His other books include Instant Spelling Power, 30 Days To A More Powerful Vocabulary, How to Read Better and Faster, Rapid Vocabulary Builder, Roget’s New Pocket Thesaurus in Dictionary Form and 30 Days to Better English.
He was born in Brooklyn, New York and completed his Masters from Columbia University. He wrote his first book, Journeys Through Wordland for sixth graders while at University. He started his teaching career at New York University, and also taught at City College of New York, and Rio Hondo College. He had a 15 year magazine writing career in which he wrote a column for Leisure. He taught grammar, etymology and English. He died in 2006 in California at the age of 93.

Satisfactorily GoodI feel ease while reading this book. It is nice and so intellectual; at the same time knowledgeable. I find it useful for my GRE preparation and it's best for the start of study along with its funny captions in-between.

Good books...worth buying!!!Thanks flipkart for the quick delivery....the book is good contains lots of usefull words and its explanations and also has exercises for practice after each chapter to help in remembering the words better...one should give it a try. The book is very good for self study.Though it does not contain all the words you want but atleast something is better than nothing...one very good thing is that the author encourages you to try harder and harder.

Great book by norman levis.If you feel your vocabulary is poor,then just go for it.Both the books are equally useful but first complete WORD POWER MADE EASY ,then go to other one.Authors have covered almost all the word which we can frequently use in our daylife.So don't see for any other books buy today and build a superior vocabulary.
