The game is a sequel to WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2011, but the first in the WWE series. The 14th game in the overall long running franchise has plenty of new features that will keep you entertained for hours. This edition of the game is called the Wrestlemania Edition.

The game includes all the DLCs available till date and several playable characters such as The Rock, Randy Savage, Trish Stratus, Christian, Batista and many more. WWE 12 is targeted towards gamers who love watching wrestling matches on TV. The professional wrestling video game DVD is available on the PS3 platform and has a Teen rating from ESRB.

Synopsis and Features

WWE 12 delivers on what it promises – hard-core wrestling. Over 60 superstars are featured in this game, allowing you to choose from the veteran Undertaker to the recent Bryan Danielson. The game is flexible and gives you the opportunity to team against any player and beat them down to a pulp. It has a variety of new elements that will keep you engrossed for hours.

Developed by Yuke’s and published by THQ, WWE 12 is a blend of superb graphics and quality gameplay. The game includes several modes such as WWE Universe: where players have different storylines and are booked automatically, Road to WrestleMania: here the players follow a pre-scripted storyline and matches are featured with original WWE superstar voices. The game also features 3 different acts where you can play as a different superstar in each act.

The new additions in the game include a variety of strikes, grapples, kicks and punches. Every movement is fluid and you can see the animations very clearly at all times. This is helpful when you are playing tag team matches as more animations on the screen will not hamper the visibility. You can wither your enemy down with a barrage of punches and finish him with a signature move or a finisher. This is very entertaining as you get to execute a move that is patented to a player, giving the game a more authentic look.

New feature called Dynamic Comebacks has been included. This allows a player who is on the verge of losing to successfully nail an array of button combos to win back the game by executing 2 finishing moves. Players can even target specific limbs to bring the opponents to their knees by playing a mini-game called Breaking Point.

The physics in the game have been greatly improved allowing you to feel like you are playing in an actual wrestling ring. The game allows you to customize a variety of options. You can create arenas, generate different entrance sequences, build new wrestlers and do a lot more. This level of customization helps you to get more involved in the game, giving you a wholesome game experience.

Online Features

You can test your wrestling skills against the best players from across the world by going online. This gives you a chance to innovate and learn new moves which you can later adopt in the career mode and win against the AI. Online matches can be played locally in your neighbourhood or players from any corner around the world can join in, creating a challenging environment for gamers.
