Xmini X-mini II

Bought the X-mini II Capsule Speakers a while back...

X-Mini’s tagline reads “Sound Beyond Size” and as soon as I turned the X-Mini II on, I guess I knew what they’re referring to. It has incredibly loud for its size and by loud it does not mean it compromises on sound quality. The quality is very good. If you’re in need of a little bass, just twist the X-Mini II to reveal its Bass Xpansion System.

This thing has impressive battery life. It comes with a built-in battery. As per the company’s claim, they can run up to 11 hours on battery, but I always get around 8.5 hours of playback. The speaker can be charged via the bundled mini-USB cable.

The X-mini II is quite well designed, it has a smooth rubberized feel that provides a nice anti slip surface. There is an integrated audio input jack that snaps into the bottom of the unit which means that after it is charged up you can just un-clip the audio input wire and jack it right into your MP3 player or any thing that has a 3.5mm audio input.

What makes this little speaker stand out is the cool accordion center which expands the internal speaker volume and enhances the bass sound quite a bit.

Until you own one, you can't appreciate how good quality and design these little speakers have.

After reading all the great reviews I decided to get one. Turned out to be a dead-on-arrival. It wouldn't power on at all. Tried charging it for many hours (during which the LED would come on) but once disconnected there was no power at all. Sent it back and got a replacement which worked but only got to use it 3 or 4 times. It just stopped giving audio output after that. Got a refund.

For the brief period that the second one worked, I'll admit it was really good. Very good output for a speaker this size so I'll rate it two stars only for that. If you are lucky enough to get one that works then you will definitely like it.

But two X-mini II speakers that failed on me so I wouldn't buy this product again.

I got one of these in Singapore as a gift from my company during a sales conference and I had to buy two more after getting back to India and showing it to my family ... it's that impressive a product !!!

Don't go by it's small size. Just twist it to open it up and any music being played from your ipod / ipad / laptop / cell phone just fills the entire room ... and we're not talking about tinny squeaks as one might expect from a speaker this small but accurate reproduction of bass and treble frequencies alike. The X Mini II is superbly designed with it's own stereo cable that can neatly be tucked in under it and the best part is that a bunch of these can actually be daisy chained for unbelievable results !! You also get a nice cloth bag in the box which can be used for carrying the X Mini II and its USB charger around hassle free and dust free.

This one of a kind product from a Singaporean company is a must buy for all music lovers !! You simply have to hear it to believe it :P

One thing i must tell u that u should not judge it by its size , yes it has a small size but its still so so powerful. even the bass is quite surprisingly good for such small size and dont think about the sound quality cus it gives a clearer voice which can easily fill up the whole room and the voice is pretty much clear, it is easily connectable to almost every thing having a 3.5 mm jack such as ur mobile phone, computer, laptop, ipod etc its highly portable u can easily put it in ur pocket aswell , it also have a small pouch inside its box which is nice for the portability

For what its worth its an amazing speaker - pretty loud for its size. Worth buying it. You can connect any MP3 or phone to this and the music output is definitely good. Got this delivered yesterday and I am have having awesome fun with this.

This can be used for a laptop as well. This speaker has got an audio out too in case if you buy two of these speakers. Remember - the output of this cannot be compared to 5.1 surround if you are looking for that.

Its got a 3.5mm jack - which is a standard for all mp3 and phones nowadays.

It has a volume control which is a good thing to have although you can use the volume control on the player too.

Best part of this speaker is - its got rechargeable battery - needs USB to charge it.
