You Were My Crush! is a story that is sure to make you introspect and re-think about your love life. The book makes you realize the darker side within yourself and restructure the ideals that you have been living with. The book preaches that everyone has a darker side to them, and it is very necessary to know one's personal limits so that people don't ever overstep them.
On the other hand, You Were My Crush also throws light on the parent-child bond. Your parents might be stern and orthodox, but deep down; they do care for their children’s happiness. Towards the end, no matter how rich and independent you are, it's your family that makes you feel complete. The book reinforces that without a family, a void will eternally exist within you.
The transformation that Benoy, the protagonist, undergoes after he meets Diya. When he stops caring about his studies, she helps him build himself as a responsible and sincere guy who's very serious about his life. The novel is very well written and not only entertains but also enlightens the audience about certain aspects concerning relationships and life.

The book is awesome, "Benoy" I love him. Gripping and as usual it has Durjoy's style in it. Still of course I love you remains my favorite. This one is also nice. Now waiting for your next.
Now will order 'Few things left unsaid' by Sudeep Nagarkar and 'Can love happen twice' by Ravin from flipkart. My friends told me that these books are equally nice and entertaining. Flipkart at my service!
this book did not impress me... by the revews i thought this wud be really interesting... but its was not so interesting...for people who are looking for mature writing please dont buy this book.... waste of time and money
The love story and life of Benoy is very practically and beautifully depicted...Durjoy dutta has given another interesting book... the characters depicted are very charming and practical.. and my expectations with the book has been completely fulfilled..
Can a rich brat fall in love at first sight? Can he realize his responsibilities and clear the misunderstandings which his dear ones have against him?A true story which revolves around "Benoy", surely tells that boys can be sweeter than girls and make sacrifices for them.Deb, who is Benoy's brother and Avantika help him to solve his problems. Are they successful?Does he have a happy ending to his love story?Well,it's a very sweet story written by Durjoy and Orvana which will make you believe that not all rich boys are bad;p..enjoyed reading it:)..
Just avg. reading (even a bit below) for casual readers.
Writing about love, bachelor life, college days, study routine, sexual encounters has its own limitations and Mr. Durjoy Datta seems to be a vicitim of carrying the similar line forward repeatedly in his books written so far.
Compare to Mr. Durjoy Datta's earlier first two novels- 'Of Course I Love You! Till I Find Someone Better' & 'Now That You're Rich ... Let's Fall In Love'; this book stands no where. Though by all fairness even we cannot consider his any of the books including the first two as exciting.
At the possitve side, procuring this book doesn't hurt much as the same is available @INR 65 in Flipkart :)
