Your Shape Fitness Evolved 2012 (Kinect Required)

This is definitely a great product if you want to shed off those extra kgs. It has so many activities, classes etc. Even bollywood dances are there.
Initially, it will scan your body, ask you about your goals etc. teach you about the different menus. And trust me its huge.
Its very easy to navigate the menus also.
This is definitely a big thumbs up if you want to have fun while exercising, especially for those people who find jogging boring.
At each and every step, there are excellent animations and a personal trainer who will guide you along the way. You can also see yourself in the game beside the trainer, which I think is pretty cool.
If you are looking for something light, or you're looking to challenge yourself to build some proper endurance, this game won't disappoint you. It has several activities with varying difficulty.
The hardest one in it is the "Bootcamp", within 10 minutes I was sweating and panting and almost fell down. And its great, the trainer keeps reminding you to do it, much like a real person.
Of course, remember that this is no substitute for weight training at the gym...but if you're looking for cardio, this is for you. Stick to your diet and happy exercising.

This is really incredible game. I really didn't think that games could be evolved to this level. The best thing is you get involved in the game and without notice you get sweat out.

I had been thinking of going to Gym from many years :) But finally got the personal trainer at home...this game. Yes, it works like a personal trainer.

The technology used is also jaw dropping. I know how hard it is to discard the background and only capture the subject in video. Some video capturing software need green background to achieve this. But this game does it perfectly and puts YOU right in the middle of the game with other animated objects around. Other games use a animated character representing you, but in this game the real YOU are in the screen.
This definitely has a different impact and you get so involved in the game.

-It shows the number of calories you burn.
-It keeps track of your exercise hours
-has all kinds of workout plans
-holds your interest in the game and doesn't get you bored.
-has dance numbers for aerobic exercises

It is a must buy for those owning a Kinect bundle. I preferred xbox over PS3 only because of these these kind of games.

Never thought i would be able to work out in my living room. So if you have had weight losing plans and well been really lazy following any, this my friend, is a must buy.. It literally trains you from the scratch.. including some kinda kick boxing stuff too :P... Will be little embarrassing in the beginning, but if you do follow this everyday, i am sure, you will see amazing returns.

I had apprehensions buying an fitness game for kinect. But this one was generally having decent reviews across the board. So, I took a risk and purchased it. I have not regretted one bit for purchasing this. From various levels of warm-ups, to focusing on individual portions of your body, this game is awesome. Being a sit-aholic, when I used it for the first time, I was drained out in flat 3 minutes - that too only with the warm-ups. This also features working out with a friend/partner (upto 4). Although you cannot do it simultaneously, 4 of you can share the same workout pattern. I am yet to try all the features, but from what I tried, this is worth its money.

I dont want to label it as a game, as it isnt merely that. Infact the gaming aspect is a very small part of its personality. It has everything you could look forward to in a fitness simulator, and lots more. You have running and skipping for the ones who cant do intensive exercises. Then you have stomach crunches, floor exercises. And then you have bollywood dancing and various other party games. Also, this game is technically a sequel to the previous edition, but you dont have to buy both, just buy this one as it retains most of the activities from the previous one.

In short, if you own a kinect, you should be owning this.
