GT 520 is not at all a gaming oriented graphics card

The mere 48 shaders and cuda cores dont pack enough performance to keep up with todays demanding games at all .

MEMORY GIMMICK

The 2GB memory on it is a marketing gimmick to trick unsuspecting buyers who looking only at specs into buying this. The gpu unit is not fast enough to consume the contents the 2 gigs of memory.
Its like bathing by using water from a swimming pool when all that you need is a bucket of water, the extra water is of no use because you simply cant use it....

REALITY CHECK
the card just about manages to play the new games out there at acceptable rates ( 20 -27 fps ) at a resolution of 1024 * 768 but still is predominantly choppy ... at such low resolutions u wont be able to appreciate the game graphics at all

at 720p resolution the card cannot deliver more than 12 - 15 fps and can sink to as low as 5fps ...

TO CONCLUDE
if you want to game then simply turn your back on this card ... you will be wasting your money unless you want play games from the 1999 - 2004 era ...

HTPC builders can use this card but you should go for the 1gb version as the 2gb is just namesake ....

Really let down by this process as well as flipkart first time.
1) i upgraded from 7300gs to 520gt. earlier I could play medieval 2 total war, now with the same configuration I can't even play with medium settings.
2) reviews here are really misleading..dont go for this product. as I said, you cant even play 2008 released game with medium setting.
3) flipkart shouldnt show it most popular product. In each of the review, critics really give very bad rating to this product.

It is only having 64 bit bus-width, which is real bottleneck here. Card should atleast have 128 bit bus-width for better perfomance.

wested hard earned 2801.(prices lowered by Rs. 50 just day after I ordered).

This graphic card is good for those who dont play heavy duty games like battlefield 3, NFS The RUN. Even though it runs the game but it lags and gives poor performance. It can't be overclocked properly also! Don't get followed by the price . Instead go for GT 440 or Sapphire HD 5670! Good for games before 2008!

This is a HTPC card

Contrary to most of the reviews stated here, this is not a gaming graphics card at all... this is not made for gaming.
This is a HTPC card.
I promise you...Even with a mainstream configuration you won't get any greater than 5-10fps on most modern games, even at just 720p.

Memory confusion.
The 2GB variant of this card is also not any gaming funda...
The 2GB is actually meant for HTPC users who do light editing on HD photos and videos which take up more memory.

If you want to enjoy High-Definition Gaming please go for something like the HD 6770 or the GTX 550Ti, which are budget cards.

If all you want is a basic GFX card capable of playing movies and videos at HD resolutions then this is a nice addition but the HD 6450 still outshines this one by a tad bit by benchmarks...

For the people who are getting confused by the reviews..For those who want to play Fifa 13,Crysis 2 & other high level games in this entry level graphic card can easily play with out any issues(Nice graphic effects).Plays any type of games but at medium settings.Some of the reviews shown at the beginning of this page may make you think that this card is not so much reliable..But those who want much features at this budget will be satisfied.

This cad is easily compatible with PCI express x16 slot.

I played only FIFA 12 on this card till now and i could play it on medium settings.

Other games were checked on WWW.CAN YOU RUN IT.COM and this card passed the test for Assasin Creed III & Crysis at medium settings.May be played at more higher settings if the games are really installed.

My system rating before this card installation: 3.3
After Installation of the card: 4.3

Three types of cards are there:Entry level,Mid range,High-end cards.
Bullet point for budget guys like me:
You cant get Mid range or High end graphic card for this price.This is a hard truth.

This card features are above entry level and below mid range level.
So,dont hesitate to buy..Price may hike..You dont have any other nvidia latest card for this price.so buy it..

Bought this on flipkart @ 3175 finally(Price is changing frequently).Ordered on 10/11/12,delivered to home on 14/11/12 (one day flight delayed/cancelled which lead to late of delivery.Actual date of delivery was 13/11/12.)
