ZOTAC NVIDIA GeForce GT240 1 GB DDR3 Graphics Card

Flipkart delivery was good as usual. This is absolutely great gpu at a very low price. People who have low budget but want to play all latest games can go for this card. I have played Crysis2, GTA4, Modern warfare 3, battle field 3, assassins creed 4 and believe me all those games ran at medium graphics without a hitch! But beware, this card wont let you play latest games in extreme graphics but older games will have no problem with high graphics. Though this card was released way back in 09 but it has enough power to run all new games that would come in another 1-2 years. No high end psu needed for this card, only normal psu of 450 watts will do, just be sure that your psu has atleast 18amp on the 12V rail. To know this you can see the ratings on the psu. And for overclocking you can crank the processor to around 640mhz without increasing the voltage of the core. If you give some extra volts to the core you can overclock a lot more till your system is stable. Get a software called EVGA PRECISION for your overclocking needs though you dont need to overclock right now but may be in the future. And yes please upgrade to the latest firmware as soon as possible from the internet. 3D capabilites of this card is good enough(it was just amazing playing crysis2 in 3d). Hope my review helped you.

This card is great. Beautiful Package by Flipkart. Who can doubt Flipkart services? Ordered it on Tuesday night, got it on Thursday afternoon. The Drivers which come with it are pretty old so it is best that you download the latest drivers from Nvidia.
Now about the games, I've played AC1,2,Brotherhood and Revelations all at high. (Accompanied by 3GB DDR2 800MHz and AMD Athlon X2 240). BF2BC, played it on high. (1280x768). COD7, played it on Medium. (1280x768). Played Crysis on Medium(1280x768).Played Crysis2 on Low-Medium(1280x768). Note : This card is best played in 1360x768 and will provide playable games in at least low for any game that releases in 2012. Even though people do not guarantee this, it will probably work. Skyrim will run just fine with about 25FPS-30FPS in Medium. And hence is a very recommended card.

my first gpu...if so for you too...limited budget go for it...my sys is a old compaq core 2 duo 2.2ghz with 1.5 gb ram with 300w psu , so got this card works well didn need a new psu! could play most games....not tried the latest ones yet...now playing nfs most wanted all settings maxed out with 60-70fps !!! (been a while since i played games...so trying out the old games first...)played thief 3 all max 70fps! ...this card has been stopped by zotac...but yet a award winning product....price here is cheaper than ritche street! was afraid that i wud need a new psu...now happy :)

I bought this a fortnight ago and I am certainly pleased with it. I own an MSI K9N-NeoV3 motherboard with AM2 socket (Athlon 64 X@ 3800+). PCIe 1x16 v1.0. The monitor is Dell ST2220L. Win 7 Pro SP1 and XP Pro SP3 dual-boot. 1GBx2 Corsair and 512MBx2 Transcend 800MHz paired RAM.
What mattered to me was that it didn't cause any bottlenecks playing HD videos. It also requires less power, so my 350W Antec Basic SMPS suffices. Moreover it is silent and the GPU fan can be regulated with an utility - setting with 'Auto' works fine for me. Previously I had an XFX HD5450 but it failed on my system on the points noted above and it cost almost double the price I bought this for (before the rise in $ rates).
The only hitch for me so far has been that I am not able to use a setting above 1280x1024 on PC setting with an HDMI cable - the display then extends beyond the desktop area. With DVI-D a setting of 1600x900 works well, which I am used to. However, higher settings upto 1920x1080p work fine with HD contents but then the fonts become too small for my liking for PC usage.
For me, it is just what the doctor ordered. No problems like the HD5450 and much improved than the 7300GT I owned before.
I would certainly recommend it for users like myself.
And yes. Re. Flipkart - I do wish other Indian online sellers would learn from them about service, packaging, shipping, etc.

I bought this when it was 750 Rs lower, at 3350/-. In spite of being a few generation old card, it's by no means less powerful. I am sure it gives very tough competition to some newer cards at higher price tag.

PROs:
1. Great pricing
2. GDDR5 memory, great for gaming coz its fast.
3. Does not even require a dedicated PCI-e power connector.
4. Can run most of the games in high to ultra resolution. I tested Crysis in high settings and impressed with the performance. My earlier 9400GT scrambled to cope up with the Crytek engine.

CONs:
1. Heating issues seems to be present, touches 55-60 degrees frequently under load, in spite of my 2 80mm exhausts and one 90CFM 120mm intake immediately by its side.
2. For newer games optimized for DX11, you need to go for newer cards.
