ZOTAC NVIDIA Geforce GTX 550 Ti 1 GB GDDR5 Graphics Card

I own this Card, and let me tell you im very happy with it. I would say its a very very good graphic card for resolutions upto 1600x900 ie 19" or 20" Monitor. If you own a bigger monitor then you should buy "Nvidia GTX560 Ti"!

I usually play at 1440x900 on 19" Monitor, and i have Intel Core2Duo 2.93 Overclocked to 3.3 GHz!

I played "BattleField 3" on ULTRA GRAPHICS and got around 28-35 FPS. Which is very good and ultra smooth! No worries there!

Played "Batman Arkham Asylum" on ULTRA but on MEDIUM HW-Accelerated Physics. Got 26-32 FPS, which was awesome! No Sluttering (as many people were reporting at the time of release).

Its a great Card, and its improving as the new drivers come up!

I purchased this card from Flipkart and got it with 2 days. Thanks to flipkart's fast shipping and delivery. This card gives 7.3 rating for Windows Aero and 7.4 for Gaming Graphics on Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit. I was using Amd Radeon 6770 DDR5. It's quite amazing to see the PhysX effects while placing games likes Batman : Arkham City, Metro 2033, Darkness II and Mirror's Edge.

This card definitely needs a good 450W PSU(not the local once) though 500W is recommended if you want to overclock it. Zotak Firestorms makes is really easy to overclock it.

Please be sure to give at least an inch space between the fan and other components, otherwise you may notice this card getting hot really quick.

I used GpuShark to monitor the temperature while playing certain games at different visual setting. It reaches a temperature of upto 72'C while playing games like Batman, Battlefield 3, Nfs-Run at high settings. Gameplay remains quite stable with average 28 fps. Medium settings gives an average 45fps with 52'C temperature.

Overall I'll give this card 6.5/10 rating for high settings gaming and 9/10 rating for medium settings gaming.

The card works great for the new games like crysis2, batman arkham city, etc (without DX11 enabled). Flipkart service was great as always.
Pros:
Good performance - value for money, Will probably work great for games that come along in next 5-7 years
Cons:
Burnt my old (local brand) PSU - Had to upgrade my PSU for this
Not a good card for DX11 - buy GTX 560 instead

Note that this card needs a 6-pin (internal) power supply (wire included in packaging). This comes with the newer PSUs, but if you have an old one, you may need atleast 2 free IDE power connectors or buy 2 extra Y connectors)

i previously owned a GeForce 9800 GT graphic card, after purchasing this card, i actually have noticed marked difference in performance, especially in games like Crysis 2. Moreover this card had plethora of output options like HDMI, which comes in handy when viewing movies on the big screen.
An added plus is the support for PhysX and CUDA which gives cool effects in certain games like Batman Arkum Asylum etc and supports Direct X 11.

first of all i would like to say that for people who want a mid range card with awesome firepower yet not power hungry..go blindly for gtx 550 ti...this card has all the arsenal u need to play latest direct x 11 gaming titles..battlefield 3 bullet storm arkham city dead space 2 MW3 syndicate crysis 2 star craft 2 ...runs like a piece of cake with this card...at 16x anti aliasing and full anistropic filtering settings theres not even a single fraction of lag in gameplay...awesome frame rates u will get and the most good part is that this card runs super smooth on a 450 watt psu...its not power hungry like 560ti or 460 series cards...and for zotac the card is super silent and theres an extended warranty for 3 yrs making a total of 5 years...so go for it guys and tell u this is absolute value for money card :)))
