Book: Zoya Factor
When the younger players in India's cricket team find out that advertising executive Zoya Singh Solanki was born at the very moment India won the World Cup back in 1983, they are intrigued. When having breakfast with her is followed by victories on the field, they are impressed. And when not eating with her results in defeat, they decide she's a lucky charm. The nation goes a step further.  Amazed at the ragtag team's sudden spurt of victories, it declares her a Goddess. So when the eccentric IBCC president and his mesmeric, always-exquisitely-attired Swamiji invite Zoya to accompany the team to the tenth ICC World Cup, she has no choice but to agree.Pursued by international cricket boards on the one hand, wooed by Cola majors on the other, Zoya struggles to stay grounded in the thick of the world cup action. And it doesn't help that she keeps clashing with the erratically brilliant new skipper who tells her flatly that he doesn't believe  in luck…

*Bible for Cricket Lovers
Review by Aparna Kumar
This was one book that i picked up with not much of expectation. I fell a prey to the pages in no time... there were lot of moments when i had a naughty smile on my face and sometimes felt.. " Gosh , i Should ve jus been there !". Such is this book. A true delight.. and if u r one among those indians whose heart beat triples when India is on the field , then this is nothing short of a Bible.

This is one book that is to be cherished in its form and not to be tested in acid waters in the name of " a-book-turning-to-a-movie". A classy mix of the right ingredients for a worthful read !
*A Heady mix of cricket & romance
Review by Aditi
A chubby ad exec meets greek god India Captain Nikhil Khoda...Add to it the luck factor that she brings to the cricket team!! and you have a heady mix of cricket and romance which hooks you in from the start...

The book builds up really well, and you fall in love with all the characters, zoyas dada, eppa, monita...they are so real...

A predictable climax, but well scripted...me thinks this has the potential to be made into a bollywood movie...

My compliments to the author on this book...kept me on the edge and hooked all the way....

Must read!!

*enticing
Review by donna
the book's hilarious, and though it's a lovestory you thankfully don't find a lot of sappy romance that we r traditionally fed with, the protagonist is sane a nd sensible and i luv Anuja{chuhan}4 that ,she misses our demigod captain but does'nt thankfully PINE 4 him, every character's fondly and meticulously created you even luv some of em lyk zoravar[personal fav] ,eppa and rinku, also the writer cleverly keeps in mind thata lot of cricket in the book would hav meant a lesser readership!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*Not Impressive at all
Review by Amit
There are so many mistakes in the book that I can not even count them. All in all this booked needed much more work before being sent to the book stalls for sale.
*"Disappointing"
Review by saurabh
When i started reading it i hadn't had any great expectations from it but still hoped for a good read, atleast. But at the end all i can say is this that it really disappoints me as a reader. The author has just tried to hit the chords by including cricket and romance for a nation which dwells in it. Hope cricket and bollywood masala movie fiend may like it. Not for esoteric readers.
*Fun to read...
Review by Surbhi
I am reading The Zoya Factor book currently & its so much fun to read it. It is so expressive that you can feel & visualize every emotion & expression of the protagonist. A story which anyone can relate to itself.
It is simply mesmerising to read such a fiction. Not only the cricket fans but the non-cricket population would also love to read this book. Highly recommended & it is definitely a MUST READ!!!!!
*Hyped and Overrated

Review by Ram Ballal
Zoya factor was a very entertaining novel no doubt about that , i felt the zoya character was essayed really cutely .....and the romance goes on the with a cute tom and jerry fight. The novel dint have much of sense of humour , also content wise it was low. But to sum it all i enjoyed reading it and fell in love with Gaalu!!!
*For the love of cricket
Review by Shagun
Zoyaaaah !!!! Your name is so pretty...

I had zero expectations on this book. But it was pretty entertaining esp it touches the topic of cricket and its importance in India.
How a girl from West Delhi finds love and mind you one of the most eligible bachelors in town (a cricketer!!)

Go read it ...but i did warn you that you can avoid it !

Rate - 3/10

*honest protrayal
Review by Nupur Dube
the start of the book didn't hold me much. however after the first few pages, i started enjoying the superb portrayal of thought processes. the turmoil in zoya's mind wrt to khoda are so real and most girls do go thru this emotional rollercoaster ride while getting into a relationship, the doubts, the cockiness, the melting are all so true. besides the another great thing was the lack of pretense in presenting a north indian middle class family, reactions of characters were as they normally are in a family. a gripping read...
*Awesome!!!

*start is lousy BUT OVERALL INTERESTING.
Review by sandeep kumar singh
THE START OF NOVEL IS NOT SO BINDING AND INTERESTING BUT AFTER READING 200 PAGES SOME INTEREST STARTS DEVELOPING WHICH AUTHOR KEPT TILL END.THE CRICKET MATCHES DESCRIPTION COULD BE MADE MORE THRILLING.NOVEL IS LONG 500 PAGES.LANGUAGE IS ENGLISH HINDI WHICH IS NOT SO EXITING FOR LOVERS OF ENGLISH NOVELS BUT IT GIVES SOME HUMORS/WITTY TOUCH TO BOOK. WHILE READING IT BECOMES DIFFICULT TO WHEN ZOYA IS TALKING TO HERSELF AND WHEN TO SOMEONE ELSE.INTERNAL THOUGHTS OF ZOYA'S MIND WAS REALLY HILARIOUS.
FOR A FIRST TIME NOVELIST...GREAT ATTEMPT..THUMBS UP...
