Pure factual questions of no use

A book that has question which are far too factual. Nobody expects you to remember the names of lakes in all the states. We are expected to have an idea about the most significant lakes/waterfalls/tributaries etc. This books has no limits on this issue. It can ask you any factual question under the sky. UPSC has more emphasis on conceptual and logical questions. It doesn't expect people to learn the subject by rote and get through the exam.

Far too Factual

I bought this book in anticipation of testing my depth of understanding in Indian and World Georgraphy. However, it has completely disappointed me. Too Factual for UPSC standard. My suggestion, throw it in a dustbin if you have bought for last minute revision of your Geography Concepts.
