Why is there a shipping charge for this item?

Sellers with Flipkart Assured waive off the delivery charge for Orders over Rs 500. For Orders under Rs 500, a nominal delivery charge is added per item.

Sellers without Flipkart Assured may or may not add a delivery charge to your Order. This is subject to Seller discretion.

What is the estimated delivery time?

Sellers generally procure and ship the items within the time specified on the product page. Business days exclude public holidays and Sundays.

Estimated delivery time depends on the following factors:

      • The Seller offering the product
      • Product's availability with the Seller
      • The destination to which you want the order shipped to and the Seller's location

Why does the delivery date not correspond to the delivery timeline of X-Y business days?

It is possible that the Seller or our courier partners observe a holiday between the day you placed your order and the date of delivery, which is based on the timelines shown on the product page. In this case, we add a day to the estimated date. Some courier partners and Sellers do not work on Sundays and this is factored in to the delivery dates.

What do the different tags like 'In Stock', 'Available' mean?

      'In Stock'

Products‘In Stock’ are readily available with seller.

Products listed as ‘In Stock’ are readily available with seller.

      'Preorder' or 'Forthcoming'

The product is not released yet. You can however ‘book’ an order for this. Shipping happens only after the product launch.

      'Out of Stock'

Currently, the item is not available for sale. Use the 'Notify Me' feature to know once it is available for purchase.

Sometimes, items have to be sourced by Sellers from outside India. These items are mentioned as 'Imported' on the product page and can take at least 10 days or more to be delivered to you.

      'Back In Stock Soon'

The item is popular and is sold out. You can however 'book' an order for the product and it will be shipped according to the timelines mentioned by the Seller.

      'Temporarily Unavailable'

The product is currently out of stock and is not available for purchase. The product could to be in stock soon. Use the 'Notify Me' feature to know when it is available for purchase.

      'Permanently Discontinued'

This product is no longer available because it is obsolete and/or its production has been discontinued.

      'Out of Print'

This product is not available because it is no longer published and has been permanently discontinued.

Why does the estimated delivery time vary for each seller?

Delivery times are influenced by product availability, geographic location of the Seller, your shipping destination and the courier partner's time-to-deliver to your location.

Please enter your default pin code on the product page to know more accurate delivery times on the product page itself.

Seller does not/cannot ship to my area. Why?

Enter your pincode on the product page to know whether the product can be delivered to your location.

If you haven't provided your pincode until the checkout stage, the pincode in your last used shipping address will be used to check for serviceability.

Whether your location can be serviced or not depends on:

      • Whether the Seller actually ships to your location
      • Legal restrictions, if any, in shipping particular products to your location
      • The availability of reliable courier partners in your location

At times Sellers prefer not to ship to certain locations. This is entirely at their discretion.

Loosely based on his real life, 2 States: The Story Of My Marriage charts the love story between a Tamil Brahmin girl and a Punjabi boy who find their relationship jeopardized by this very ethnic disconnect.

    Summary Of The Book

Krish Malhotra meets Ananya Swaminathan at IIM Ahmedabad where they are both pursuing an M.B.A. Ananya’s charm and good looks bring her to the fore of the popularity chart at the Institute and although Krish finds her very appealing, this reputation makes him wary of her. Ananya enlists Krish’s help who is an IIT graduate and the duo began their friendship. Soon this friendship blossoms into love and the pair become inseparable.

The real story begins in their last year at the Institute when having moved past all of the other person’s idiosyncrasies, the two are resolved to tie their love through the bond of marriage. However, they aren’t the only ones involved in this decision and although they are in love, there is the question of their families. With the parents not accepting their love, Ananya is sent off to meet Tamil Brahmin boys while Krish is sent off to meet respectable Punjabi girls. However, Krish cannot forget Ananya and is the same with her and he embarks on a quest to win over her family to finally marry her.

Through a number of amusing and misfortunate clashes, the families disapprove of this union due to their cultural and ethnic differences. The magic that is Bhagat’s gift in storytelling is his use of humor and candor and he employs these devices to full use in this story where the North-South polarities provide generous comedic effect. Narrated from Krish’s point of view, a first person narrative, 2 States: The Story Of My Marriage is an infectiously lighthearted read that digs at the ethnic gap between Indian communities. The rights of the book have been sold to producer Nadiadwala who is adapting the warm tale for the big screen.

A very good book, no strings attached

Well, i had heard good things about this book and that is when i finally decided to buy it
It started a bit slow and i was always trying to mentally compare it to "5 point someone" so i was initially a little disappointed but Boy, did i know what was coming up next, as chapters passed i got so much into the storyline that i did not even have track of time and read the book through the night to finish it
The key points that i liked is

    2. A potent mixture of humor ...

2 States (Book) - Chetan Bhagat

The book and the story: As the top of the cover itself says “2 States – The story of my marriage” – you can imagine what it’s all about. I still have no idea about him and his life yet but but I can tell you one thing about him after reading this book that I guess this is his own life story and I am sure Chetan Bhagat is one hopelessly romantic guy, who is madly in love with his wife – so much so that he just can’t stop bragging about her and this book is nothing but the same story told in ...

Indian youngsters need to improve their standards on reading

This is absolute waste of time. I don't see how you guys state this book 'awesome', either you have no reading experience at all or you just started to read. There are lots and lots of books that are far more better than Chetan bhagat's. We have so many inspiring and fabulous Indian books as well as international books. Please do not waste your time on this author.

The story could have been built super romantically on the unity of India. This is what I expected after I came to know the plot...

The worst novel I ever read.

I don't know why the crappy writers are downgrading the standard of literary world. Chetan Bhagat's books are as cheap their prices. A high school student can write better prose than him.
