When two people are in love, how much do you think one’s ethnicity and culture would impact the relationship? Apparently, too much. Directed by Abhishek Verman and starring Arjun Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amrita Singh, Ronit Roy, Revathy and Shiv Kumar Subramaniam, 2 States is a Hindi romantic drama film. The storyline of this flick follows Krish Malhotra and Ananya Swaminathan; the both of them meet at IIM Ahmedabad, a prestigious Indian college. During the course of their studies in the college, the both of them fall in love and decide to get married with the permission of their parents once their time in the educational institution is completed. However, when the couple’s parents meet, due to cultural differences, problems start to arise.

Still cannot figure out what went wrong!
Haven't seen the movie in cinema hall, so cannot be sure if content was edited out for the DVD version, but the story appeared exceptionally badly edited. It feels like a string of commercials stuck together and does not hold your attention at all. Perhaps the book was better written than the script and/or the editing? The DVD version is just lots of eye candy stuck together as patches of incidents with a weak narrat...
