The period in the book is the year 2000, and the story is set in Ahmedabad. This is the story of three young men who want to start a business of their own. Govind, Ish, and Omi set up a shop that sells cricket goods. They begin to see some setbacks to their dreams and face a variety of hassles in their business. They witness the politics of faith, tragedies, love that is not welcome, and finally the follies of their own. The inevitable question, however, is whether they emerge successful, irrespective of the mistakes they have committed. The question that remains is whether the achievement of dreams can act as a solace to the tragedy that has befallen them.
