Incorporating a step-by-step approach, the book is a helpful guide that is primed to help readers crack the language in all its subtleties with a stronger vocabulary Summary Of The Book 30 Days To A More Powerful Vocabulary was written with a clear focus on helping readers enrich their grasp over the English language. The claim on the 30 days period is a testament to the authorsâ convictions. 15 minutes everyday over a month is the path the authors suggest as a sure fire path to a stronger vocabulary and a more intimate comprehension of the language. The book has 30 tests to engage the reader, one test a day for an entire month. Beginning with a test on the current standing of the reader vis-Ã -vis the language, the book then glides across the content in a manner that allows for memorization of all the topics with progressive checks in mind. The book spends two chapters on vocabulary and then moves on to discussing conversations with personalities in their vocations like medicine. It then pursues the content of verbs and after discussing theories moves into a quick vocabulary builder. Again engaging the readers in another test of their progress, it then moves across identities, phobias, emotions and human traits and faults. By this time the book has reached its fifteenth day and readers are sure to experience a better understanding of the nuances involved in the language. The next fifteen days begins with a pop quiz before moving on to adjectives, modern usage of language, descriptive phrases and words. In addition to a chapter on words changing their meanings and several tests among chapters to test the progress of readers, the guide comes to a close with a 30-day vocabulary test. Written in an engaging narrative with the replete use of examples and conversations, 30 Days To A More Powerful Vocabulary couple accessibility and comprehension. The success of the book is phenomenal, selling over 4 million copies since its first edition. It is the one of the most widely used manuals with respect to the English language. The book can be a useful guide for students writing competitive exams like GRE and SAT.
