365 Days of Wonder is a New York Times best-selling novel for children, compiled by R. J. Palacio.

Summary of the Book

In this book, readers are introduced to the English teacher, Mr. Brownie, and his passion for principles. The book contains a collection of precepts – one for each day of the year. They are mostly drawn from famous songs, inscriptions, fortune cookies, Egyptian tombstones and children’s books. The precepts depict various themes including love, goodness, kindness, hope, and will, among others. In between, letters and emails from characters that appeared in Wonder are added, including the ones from Jack, Summer, Julian, Amos, and Charlotte. Some of the famous words of Anne Frank, Confucius, Goethe, Martin Luther King Jr., and Sappho are also included, which can inspire not only children, but adults too.

About R. J. Palacio

For over twenty years, R. J. Palacio was an art director and graphic designer. She was designing book jackets, while waiting for her time to start writing her own novel. One day, a chance meeting with an extraordinary child in front of an ice cream shop made her realize that the right time to write that novel had finally come. Her debut novel is Wonder. R. J. Palacio currently lives in New York City with her family.
