Fish Tail Palm is a species from the Indian Subcontinent and Southeast Asia where they grow in fields and rainforest clearings. They are commonly called solitary fishtail palm, toddy palm, wine palm, Jaggery palm etc... Its leaf stems used as fishing rod after trimming the branches of the leaf and drying by locals/tribes.... This clump-growing group of palms has medium green leaf blades which are divided into many segments, each of which resembles the tail of a fancy goldfish. Rarely exceeding 25 feet in height. Its neat habit makes it ideal to grow at pool sides, Sides of Path ways, in Pots/Grow Bags or other type of containers. It can be used as an ornamental venue plant in large Villas, Farm Houses, Office Premises etc...... This palm can be planted in the containers or above-ground planter, suitable for growing indoors near a deck or patio. Fishtail Palms can thrive in light conditions from full sun to deep shade, requiring only that its soil be well-drained and reasonably fertile. It has a moderate to rapid growth and the dark green leaves creates a pleasant atmosphere in the garden...... .... . ...
