About the Author

Dr. Padmore Agbemabiese is a Professor of English and Literature at the Cuyahoga Community College. He is an Africanist, a prolific and versatile poet, a dramatist, and a scholar who has earned a place among the coterie of important African authors. Professor Agbemabiese's academic research interests have focused mainly on aural literature of the Ewes of Ghana, Togo and Benin and in particular, the applications of names and naming systems to the understanding of the sociocultural and political experiences of the people. His research has helped define the most effective ways people look at themselves and pioneered novel strategies of naming themselves and how cultural identity is vital to the Africans personality. Dr. Padmore Agbemabiese is leading tremendously important research projects among Ewes of the world, but as impressive is his mentor ship in developing research careers for the youths currently struggling with college essays.
