Good VFM product

I purchased this little lappy on 21 Jan 12. I was looking for a light little product which can serve the purpose of net surfing as well as some office work. What I liked about this product:-
(a) Good screen resolution (REAL HD). Good for watching movies occasionally
(b) Screen size is 11.6 inches which is a good balance between size and weight. Screen size is big enought to do office work for hours without straining your eyes and yet very light to move around without straining your shoulders....

Nice Netbook:Acer Aspire One 722 Netbook

As an avid Linuxer, the first thing I did was to try to install my favourite Arch Linux distro on the Acer Aspire One, which I got neatly delivered through Flipkart, albiet some minor irritations in delivering to my address by Blue dart couriers (had to go and collect from their office).

Ran into partition problems while installing Linux, since Windows had promplty taken up all the primary partitions. As a revenge, I erased the Windows 7 OS fully and went on the install Arch Linux + KDE des...

A good choice.

I was looking for a notebook, which is portable, has good configuration and fits my budget of 15-20 K. This model fits that criteria. A note book with 10 inch screen might have been more portable, but I felt it was little too small for comfort.

Pros:
Excellent battery backup. (4 hours)
Screen size of 11.6 makes gives a sense of portability to some extent.
Reasonably fast. No lags.
Good looks.
Cons:
Keyboard is tacky. Feel like it is of a very inferior quality.

There are 2 USB drives on the...

Really Best among Mini laptops

Hello Guys,

Its really a best laptop among mini's.
Keyboard is good.
Speaker is Ok. Not bad.
Battery backup is around 6 hrs, which is again good.
The thing is, no driver CD's in this pack. But whatever drivers we need that we can download from ACER website. So, it will not be a big issue.
So, for people willing to buy Mini laptops, I will suggest this one.
Thank u guys.. All the best!!!

Happy with the product

Pros

Larger, Higher Resolution Display
Improved Graphics Including HD Support
2GB of Memory With Windows 7 Home Premium
Cons

Lots of Installed Software
Not As Portable As 10-inch Netbooks
Software that is installed by Acer still plagues the Acer Aspire One and many of their other low cost systems. There is a large amount of programs installed that are either trails or not very useful to the operation of the netbook. This ends up slowing down the system due to the large number of items that ...

Acer owned it!

This is an awesome laptop. It has got the optimum configuration as well as screen size for watching movies, browsing internet or doing work on Microsoft Office.

The only thing which it lacks is sound volume, however, not a deal breaker.

Best in class; Ideal for daily use!
