This is a neat little notebook. It is light weight, especially when I compare it to my Thinkpad x130e.

At first we were not sure if this netbook would run Windows 8 smoothly, but, we were surprised to find that it does run Windows 8 fairly smoothly. Please note that we haven't run any heavy duty apps like word, excel, etc, on this laptop yet so we don't know the suitability of this laptop for such apps.

The netbook works quite well- speedwise and ease of usage. Windows 8 slows it down a bit , but still decent speed for simple use like Internet, MS office and email. Battery life is decent, about 3-4 hours of usage. The netbook design is compact and fees like a tablet to carry around. Good value for money.

I really liked the look of the netbook. Comes installed with Windows 8. You need to update it to Windows 8.1 for the real experience. This update though took a lot of time. And the netbook is not lightening quick, you can guess that by specifications, although the speed is pretty good.

In short, nice buy.

The laptop is good for causal work like document editing, browsing, checking emails, watching videos and listening to music. With good build quality, fit and finish and a decent battery life, Acer Aspire V5 123 is a good laptop in the sub Rs 20,000 price range. Got it exchanged with my old laptop that fetched me 3k.

Obviously the keyboard being small, lot of keys have been merged and one has to adapt to the abridged version.

I am excited with the price and configuration of the Laptop, it is awesome, i disagree with some reviewer who made me to think for a while regarding the MS Office performance, I want to say that there is no issue as such, this is absolutely great product to look at and buy from Flip kart, the price is really exciting nowhere will you get with price, i checked in the Mumbai wholesale market and it is quite happy price.

my personal opinion is that you can simply go for this notebook i am really more excited about its awesome performance and amazing battery back up of 5.5 hours thanks for such wonderful laptop

The design and screen look awesome. But if you want processing power this is not ideal for that. But it is handy laptop and come at fraction of the price compared to others in the market.

I wouldn't recommend as a primary use laptop but if you want it for movies and surfing then you can go for it
