Prepare the Moka Pot Disassemble into three parts: bottom chamber, filter basket, and upper chamber. Ensure they are clean and dry. Add Water Fill the bottom chamber with water up to the safety valve using fresh, filtered water. Do not cover the valve. Add Coffee Grounds Fill the filter basket with finely ground coffee (about 2 tablespoons). Do not tamp; just level it off. Assemble the Moka Pot Place the filter basket in the bottom chamber and screw the upper chamber onto the base securely but avoid overtightening. Heat the Moka Pot Place on a gas, electric, or ceramic stovetop over medium heat. Do not use induction cooktops. Monitor Brewing Watch through the hinged lid as steam pressure pushes water through the grounds into the upper chamber. Listen for the Sound When you hear a hissing sound, the brewing is complete. Remove from heat. Serve Pour the coffee into cups and enjoy! Cleaning Let cool, disassemble, and rinse with warm water. Hand washing is recommended.
