About Tisca Chopra

Tisca Chopra is an Indian actress. She debuted in Platform opposite Ajay Devgn. Her appearance in Taare Zameen Par brought her to the limelight, winning the Best Actress award at the 11th Annual New York Indian Film Festival for 10 ml Love.

An English graduate from the Hindu College, University of Delhi, she has also written Get Your Act Together.

She got her big break with Aamir Khan's Taare Zameen Par for which she won several national and international awards. Apart from being a regular on stage, she is also a favourite with advertisers, endorsing brands like Tanishq,Titan Eyewear, Olay, Horlicks and Kellogg's. She is currently starring in the Indian franchise of the hit American series 24,being produced by Anil Kapoor. She is also developing a number of film scripts with her pilot-author husband, Sanjay Chopra.

A truly smart book on working in the movie business

Very well written, extremely detailed and an insiders view of how the movie industry functions. It is clearly the book to reach out to for aspiring actors, cinema buffs and even corporates on grooming, marketing yourself as a brand, how to play by your strengths and pretty much get a ringside view of what it takes to rock n roll in the show business. Quite surprised actually that no one attempted to write it before. A must read.

A wonderful eye-opener

It's not about what you'll do after becoming an actor, it's all about what you have to be while you are on your way to search for that small role to make into the B-Town. A wonderful eye-opener written chapter-by-chapter by Tisca Chopra making one realize that it's only easy if you have decided to be of stone with no emotions and only work.

Very good informative book about the insides of the acting industry. This book gave me insight about the several small things that add up to make someone an actor.

Be productive and get real

This book is absolutely amazing. I'm personally not a reader but this one has something that urges you to flip over and over. I guess it's the truth and focus its written with which makes it a stunner read. I would definitely recommend this book, can also be read as leisure.
