About Bidri Artwork: Bidri artwork, or Bidriware, is a metal handicraft that is made in Bidar, Karnataka. The pieces consists of a black zinc-copper alloy with intricate inlays of pure silver. Bidriware is made by traditional methods including casting, chiseling and manual polishing. Materials such as earth from the Bidar Fort, castor oil, resin, copper sulphate and ammonium chloride are used to create these works of art that are like no other.
