Provides rock solid protection.
Only draw back (& that's why 4/5 stars)- it is surprisingly a dust magnet, inspite of not having that glossy finish other HDDs have.
But all in all, a very good buy. Highly recommended.

A great product, transfer speeds are great, i am getting transfer speeds of 55-90 MBps on USB 3.0. The silicon catches some dust but looks good enough to protect the drive from fall.
Just wish it had password protection software at this price.

I recently bought this Adata Ext hard disk through flipkart and I am happy with the products quality and pricing. The courier did not reach on time though, but ever thing else about the products is good. Good speed in transferring data, sturdy design and compact to handle.

I usually refrain from reviewing electronic gadgets right after buying it. That is exactly why I am writing this after using ADATA HD 710 for little over a year.

Pros:
transfer speed is good in USB3.0 in Win 7 and 8
transfer speed is good in USB 2.0 in Win 7 and 8
the rubber is pretty good and it is not for show off. it actually works.
inventive design as rubber curving acts as transfer wire holder which extremely useful.

After seeing youtube videos about this drives sturdiness I went for it.
Look and feels very strong.

Has USB 3.0. Even though my laptop does not support USB 3.0 it transferred files at 25MBPS. Very fast compared to other drives.

It is almost half as fast as copying within my internal hard disk ( which is at 50MBPS). So its amazing.

I am using this with my ASUS O Play and it has become my media center.

i bought this like 5 months back an it runs almost 24/7 on my computer as i use it as an extra drive dropped it a couple times from my hand an off the table by mistake.. nothing happened.. spilled my coffee while playing dota2 on this .. just wiped it off nothing happened no vibration or any noises..really awesome thing with a nice fat usb cable of high quality.. trust me this drive is just awesome got the 1 tb one surely gonna get a few more for my brother an others...

I purchased this around six months ago. Delivery was top-notch as it usually is from Flipkart, with inner bubble wrap packaging in addition to a cardboard outer packaging.

The product has been performing pretty close to the expected usb 3.0 speeds ~100 MB/s. There has not been any observable reduction in performance up till now.
