got a defective product
didnt try this as the flap covering the usb port was not closing and i got a refund since no replacement was available. waterproofing is the reason to pay extra for this hard drive. since the flap wasnt closing it wasnt waterproof for me so I went for a transcend which is just shockproof and at a lower price

3 years of Use
After 3 years of use it still performs like a beast.. A lil slow on windows 7 but copies upto 110mbps on Windows 8.1 or 10.. Durable and strong, water resistant.. I washed it a million times(not the cable) and it never gave up.. The connection between the cable and HDD is somewhat delicate, although i never faced a problem till yet.. Over all it does what it says and completely worth it..

Strong product and functioning well after 1 year now
I have been using this product heavily for the past 1 year. Its fast with USB 3.0 and also has taken 3 or 4 falls without any impact yet. I have continuously kept it connected either my laptop or the TV and there has been no issues.

it gives a ton of safety assurance compared to those two! Build looks strong, aesthetically appealing
The USB cable seems a e bit short at first, but believe me, you will not bother about its length once you see how neatly it tucks around the HD, so you never have to worry about forgetting it carrying it separately.
As far as the performance goes, speed is superfast with usb 3.0 ports. No complains there.

Great Product.
Fast Data transfer. The feature to clip the cable to the body is also a great idea.

If you same feature in branded one you have pay lot more, Definitely it's a value for money.

True to its word
I have purchased many HDD earlier which failed at the most critical times. But DashDrive is truly different. It is tough, rugged and most importantly very reliable. Would highly recommend it for people who travel and need reliable storage of data.
