Hand Stitched Kantha has been initiated by Agro Kaizen Foundation.In India we have learned from our ancestor about how to use the unused sarees and convert it to a blanket or a bedsheet.By hand stitching we can transform unused sarees to beautiful hand crafted ,artistic blankets.Jasimuddin a Bangla poet described a very beautiful love story in "Nakshi Kanthar Maath" Poem.Kantha is an art & cultural symbol in rural Bengal.Every Kantha is an unique product.This is handcrafted by Mrs. Biva Mondal.She spent around 11 days to complete this Kantha.At the Agro Kaizen Foundation,we are enlightening the lives of poor and needy ones by providing meaningful education to gender equality and women empowerment.
