Its a superb phone. Ditto design of OnePlus One :) Those who can't afford OnePlus One should go...

After waiting for a long long time (around 1 month). finally I got this phone on my hands.

1. Look of the mobile is worth.. particularly the curved sides (top & bottom). This makes it uniqueness from other mobile models - WOW
2. Back panel is superb mat finish - WOW
3. Camera is very good - WOW
4. Processor speed is good - WOW

About the phone.. First impression..
Design - 7/10 - Looks solid. Just that the screen to body ratio is not so great. Looks lengthy.
Performance - 6/10 - The feather touch - back button - sometimes not responsive - may be I should get used to it or there is a problem with this piece. The swipe is not responsive consistently - lags now and then. This is not pure stock android.

The phone is good for the price bracket. Yes sometimes the navigation buttons doesn't seem to work on first tpuch that's because you have to press at the sweet spot or else it won't work. Camera is sort of ok. The whole camera ui is slow. Alcatel did provide an update and the issue resolved. Captures details in vivid light but can't capture close up images. Front camera good too and comes with flash. Screen is bright and those who are saying it doesn't have any gorilla glass well, do you guys...

Before going to good and bad and cribbing about things lets look at the price of this device. It is priced at 9200 INR.

Now coming to the device itself:

1.) Build - Good, Nice design.
2.) Camera - Good, there also are ample of camera modes including time lapse and front flash. Time lapse is not provided in most of the phones in this segment.
3.) RAM - 2Gb, which is again at par to other phones priced at even higher price.
4.) Internal Memory - 16Gb, again at par to other devices. Samsung J ...

Battery: I used this phone for 30 minutes and battery from 62% reduced to 48%. May be I need to once fully charge it and then see how it performs. But considering 3000 mAH, this is something that's gonna be painful.

Camera: Front one doesn't give good quality (I used Lenovo K3 Note and that was far better). Rear cam just gives you high size pictures like more than 2.5 MB but is not that clear. K3 Note was actually better.

Hi, got this phone last month and would like to share some serious thoughts regarding the phone with you all.

1) Good connectivity for voice & data. No call drop experienced even in dense areas, and checked simultaneous voice calling & 3G data connection for 1.5 hours flat, with no disconnection of voice or data. Also the handset warmed up only slightly as against insane heating up of several brands.

I am updating my review after 5 months of use. with recent OS update

I trust WS Retail and Flipkart.
Android Features are good. size and weight, separate camera button nice.
Overall appearance is good but technically not up to the mark.
1. camera is very slow,that's why blurred pictures.
2. Hanging even when using single app.
3. gestures not working.
Alcatel or any company shall remember that quality is importance not the cost....

Awesome phone with no negative points. I am still using this mobile from more than 1 year .
Many a times the name alcatel gives surprise to people but I found it very loving smart phone with good budget now although I bought it approx 9500.
Accessories are not easily available .
