    Description
Depression isn't just sadness. It is misery. It is both pain and nothingness. When you are truly depressed, you cannot just cheer yourself up. People don't 'have' depression, they suffer from it. Even with all our scientific advances, depression remains shrouded in mystery. Ayurvedic and yogic texts call depression 'vishada', a toxic state of mind.

In this profoundly insightful work, mystic and healer Om Swami categorizes depression into three types to help you see how a different approach is needed for each. Woven together with first-hand case studies and yogic wisdom, this book will leave you with a new perspective on depression and sadness.

    Great product

The book explains what depression is (with the help of real life cases) and what is not, categorizes it into different types and based on the type, provides an appropriate cure.

It is meant for both, people suffering from depression and their loved ones as it explains how to support a person who is suffering. It can heal a person completely, so read it and gift it those who need help on the subject.

    Absolute rubbish!

Although the writer seems to understand depression but the case studies given were too western for my taste. Even the statistics quoted in the book are of USA, which was honestly a bit irritating to me. It seems as if this book is written to appeal to the western audiences mostly. I personally did not take away much from this book.(I already know that desires and expectations are the root cause of suffering, meditation blah blah...) I had high hopes from this book. The book itself felt like a...
