James Herriot again.
Each and every one of James Herriot's books have been a joy. This is no different. For people who love or even like animals, you are bound to enjoy his stories. They are poignant, hopeful, sad....all the emotions you can imagine. His books should be made a part of school curriculum.

A Bit different
this book is good. But it could have been better. The story is about Herriot's days in the RAF training to be a fighter pilot; or rather that is what it should have been. In almost all chapters, the author has constantly flipped back and forth from the farm to the airfields. Any incident brings back memories of his days as a vet to the author and that he expresses in the books. Not only is this annoying, but it leaves you in a sort of suspense.
