Much like the books used by athletic coaches around the world, this guide will outline the strategies readers will have to enact and the moves they will need to make in order to live purposely as a number 8. One of the key ways most people are able to connect to a concept is by walking it out in community. Sometimes that process occurs in a church or ministry group and other times, especially nowadays, community is represented virtually or intangibly. Nevertheless, knowing that you are not alone on a journey can make the travel easier. In consideration of this, each chapter of this guide will introduce a "character" who will share his or her story with the reader and walk them through the trials and triumphs of mastering the concepts presented in the corresponding chapter of the book. The reader will interact with this "character" as if he or she is a real person as they move through the other sections of the chapter. The "Align Your Life" section of each chapter will be intentionally interactive. Readers will be provided activities, puzzles, surveys, role-playing and journaling exercises, and social media related tasks that will allow them to practically apply the concepts learned in the chapter. Finally, the book will offer content-specific prayers that will help readers seal their efforts
