Processor may be good but the worst thing is -

220 W Maximum Thermal Design Power (TDP)

it's just double of any high end processor (i.e. 70-130W range)

so heat generated at 220W is like a engine running.

Hence I don't thing it's worth comparing with other processors, although it may out perform many other processors.

I'm planning to build a new machine but simply ignored this one.

Rest it yours choice that matters.

I'm usually a big fan of AMD products, as they provide great value for money. However, this product just defies common sense!!!
This is not a new stepping of the Vishera die, it's just a badly done factory overclocked FX-8350.. The 220W TDP is just ridiculous! Only water cooling can keep such a thing under control!

Since all the FX chips are unlocked anyway, you can just buy a 4GHz FX-8350, and increase the multiplier by 2 (2x200MHz bus speed = 400MHz extra speed) , THAT"S IT!!! Volla! You n...

I regret a bit after buying this processor, getting too hot, had to buy liquid cooler still getting too much heat and turning off

Unlike what I said before, this CPU is great for overclocking. However, I still think the 8350 is better value
