Not as good as war and peace but as always Leo Tolstoy has written the book extremely well describing people's emotion unbelievably well. If you like War and Peace you shall definitely like this book.

This could well be the definition of a 'Novel'. The extent to which he is descriptive is amazing. Every situation, sequence and characters are painstakingly described... I wonder how could someone have so much of patience and imagination. If you are my type who likes a fast paced story... This is not for you... for a person who loves imagining and taking their own sweet time in savoring the juices of a Novel... go ahead... you wouldn't have chosen a better one.

There is something about in the russian literature after completing all Dostoevsky's novel this one is my first leo toltstoy magnum opus, the book captures the russian society, sociology, philosophy toltstoy is master of character creation there is certain complexity in toltstoy method of story telling
