A good read for one time. Entertaining it is, although nothing quite fabulous about this book.But i liked it, kind of.

My first version of Anna Karenina was an abridged Assamese translation, which I read in my school days. Then the next was the Maude translation, which is the oldest version and still the most widely read. But after reading it (which is quite good, despite being a 100 years old, it must be granted) I came to know about the present Richard Peaver version of the book. By far, this is the best translation that I have read. After going through it, you can really imagine the rhythm and undulations ...

I took possession of the book earlier today, and it arrived in impeccable condition. I shall abstain from composing a literary critique, leaving that task to the discerning experts in the realm of literature.

I think most of people who read this book ..will know about different kinds of love... But i will remember it as absolute cruelty of Anna who does not care about her husband... She didn't have pity for him... I have understood her situation for love if her husband was unfaithful, mistereted her...but i can't forget... One line of her when she say to veronsky that.... He doesn't exist....

I ordered the book from NSP Retail. It was a tad bit damaged, However, it is acceptable at a price of 251, as I had nothing to read in lockdown. But still I expected 100% in quality from flipkart.

Truly an awe inspiring novel. Hail Tolstoy!

If you want to read just one classic novel in your life, Anna Karenina should be your choice.
