The best PSU at this price range. Aesthetically, not so great but performance-wise, supposed to be way better than the Corsair VS550 which seems to be a very popular PSU here. One thing nagging me before I purchased this PSU was that it was not Haswell compatible. (Though I would have no use for Intel's advance sleep states at the moment.) But I was in for a nice little surprise when the model turned out to be actually VP550P V2; version 2 happens to be Haswell compatible.
1.Abundant wires. It has 2x12-pin connectors which i very much needed for my graphic card and motherboard. 2.No sound and less heat generating fan. 3.A perfect fit for the Antec cabinets such as Antec v2.
Cons-
Not enough power supply for high-end graphic cards.
*EDIT* The noise seems to have gone away after about a month. Hence boosting the score up.
Five days and the fan is out. It started rattling. The comp up time is probably an average of 3-4 hours per day. I haven't even installed a graphics card yet. This is ridiculous. I am running an ultra power efficient i5-3570K at min load (due to no graphics card yet) and one hard drive and an SSD. With these components, there is no chance that I am drawing full power.
The power cable provided with Antec is 2 Pin. Metal parts of my cabinet gave shock when i used the company provided 2 pin cable. This issue got resolved as soon as i started using regular 3 pin power cable.
Rest in terms of performance it has been good and packaging from company is great.
