AnuMoh Handcrafted Cloth Applique Wall Hanging (Chandua), from Pipli in Odisha, Rectangular Idols of Jagannath Puri Tapestry  (Red)

Pipli, a small hamlet located between Bhubaneshwar & Puri in Odisha, is famous for skilled and unique "Applique" work: attaching (fixing) numerous material patterns/ designs in numerous colors, onto a base material. The highly skilled artisans of Pipli use the "Applique" technique with different base & application layer materials, to create beautiful handicrafts. The offered Applique Wall Hanging (local name: Chandua) has cotton & other multi colored cloth pieces & threads affixed on a velvet cloth base and is stunningly attractive! It can be mounted on the wall using 4 small nails/ screws on the corners. Ensure that the wall hanging is properly stretched & without significant folds, when fixing the nails/ screws. An alternative fitting method is to properly paste the cloth on a 2mm thick particle board or hard board sheet and provide a thin & fully transparent plastic sheet covering. This sheet must be slightly bigger, so that it can be folded & fixed at the rear, on all the sides. This "laminated" wall hanging can then be wall mounted without nails / screws, using a a number of strong double tape pieces. Please note: this is a hand crafted item and no two pieces will be 100% identical. There may be some changes in the colours, between the piece you receive and the image displayed here. However, the overall schema, base (velvet cloth) colour and most of the colours will match.
